Day 2

1. Select a theme for your Zine, it could be a single word or a phrase.
On a blank page write your theme down as many possible ways as you can think of until you are satisfied or the page is full. You can use collage or different mediums in this exercise.

We will take a photo and it will make up one of the pages of our zine.

2. Here is a clip on creating your own colour pallet from an image using Photoshop

Select an image you like and use the above procedure to create a 24 colour 'colour palette'.

Save your colour palette as a jpg to your class folder along with your selected image.
It should look something like the following;
 













3. Complete the drawing exercise in class 'Drawing to music' with charcoals.
Take a photo of your drawing open it in Photoshop and find a pleasant cropped composition
e.g.













3.(b) Devise a drawing exercise to create a page for your zine. You can use any material but the marks need to be inspired by your theme. Conduct your drawing exercise and use the above process to find a pleasant composition.

We will take a photo and it will make up one of the pages of our zine.
